 Familiar with the cyanotype process but wanting to push your skills even further?

  • In this workshop you will explore the toning process using natural dyes.

  • You will also learn how to make a digital negative.

  • These techniques will introduce you to an expanded color range, tonal range, and subject matter in your cyanotype process.

  • Bring new life to your existing prints & learn how to incorporate digital imagery into your printmaking process in this exciting advanced class!

  • It’s recommended that participants of this workshop have previous experience with cyanotypes or have taken Eric’s Introduction to Cyanotype workshop.

ERIC WILLIAM CARROLL

Eric is an artist making work that combines his interests in science, nature, and the history of photography. Carroll’s work has been shown widely and has been included in exhibitions at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Aperture Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Photography among others. Carroll has participated in residencies with the MacDowell Colony, Rayko Photo Center and the Blacklock Nature Sanctuary, and was the winner of the 2012 Baum Award for Emerging Photographers. After a nearly decade-long stint as a full-time professor, Carroll relocated to Asheville, North Carolina to focus on his creative practice.
