A VERSATILE CREATIVE SPACE JUST FOR YOU
APS+G is special! We are the only community based, public-ally open print studio in all of Asheville. There is no other place like it. Our studio wears many hats - acting as a working printmaking studio, a classroom space, a membership space, a press rental space and event space, as well as a gallery space! On top of that, we are a green space - using low VOC ink that is non-toxic and requires no harsh solvents for clean up.
STUDIO OFFERINGS
Asheville Print Studio is dedicated to sharing our love of printmaking!
We offer a wide ranging array of printmaking CLASSES & WORKSHOPS in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Our informative, comprehensive Classes are small - limited to six participants - and perfect for learning about printmaking and developing printing skills. These Classes, and our Demonstrations, are lead by our founder Denise Markbreit.
We also offer an array of exciting Workshops, lead by guest printmakers who are nationally recognized for their techniques. Workshops are suitable for all skill levels and are ideal for expanding creative energy and inspiration.
Regular access to our studio for personal printmaking time is available via our MEMBERSHIPS.
PRINTMAKING COLLABORATIONS
Are you an artist interested in expanding your creative horizons or an experienced printmaker without a press? In collaboration we can explore your artistic vision through one-on-one printmaking sessions. Together we will develop your ideas and add skills to your creative toolbox.
Using your choice of printmaking techniques, we will translate your work into a print or series of prints.
This is not a copy of what you might normally do, but rather an extension of your vision and skill through the application of new materials and processes.
A collaboration will enable you to make something, you wouldn't be able to otherwise, by accessing very specific technical expertise and creative facilitation specifically geared to you.
This is a unique opportunity to look at your work from a dynamic new perspective and stretch your artistic muscles!
COLLABORATIONS FEE: Starts at $30 per hour with a three hour minimum booking time.

PRESS RENTALS
Asheville Print Studio offers Press Rental Time. This option is suitable for artists with demonstrable printmaking experience who are comfortable working independently. We have three presses:
24 x 36 Charles Brand press (Ben Franklin)
24 x 48 Takach press (Minerva)
30 x 60 Takach press (Lucille)
PRESS RENTAL FEE: $30 per hour with a three hour minimum booking time.

CUSTOM PRINTMAKING SESSIONS & SPACE RENTAL for Small Groups
Need space for co-workers to gather, build synergy, team build and build cohesion? Planning a family reunion, bachelor or bachelorette party and want to get creative?
Asheville Print Studio offers customized Small Group instruction sessions (up to 10 participants) for business functions, family reunions, birthdays, bachelorette parties and other occasions where you want to offer your guests a unique and memorable activity. We create a specialized printmaking workshop for you and your team. No special skills are required form your people! We tailor these printmaking experiences to your interests, prior knowledge and age.

Asheville Print Studio + Gallery is a perfect setting for small engagement parties & weddings, anniversary & birthday parties, life celebrations, memorials & business events!
Our open, adaptable floor plan can comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests (seated).
Rustic white walls, accented with fine art prints, make for a beautiful, contemporary setting that acts as a unique backdrop for your special occasion.
Event attendees remark on our comfortable, welcoming atmosphere and the easy camaraderie it gives rise to.
We are ideal for enjoying a simple 2-4 hour affair focused on you and your people.
Elopements and other unexpected events can be arranged in as little as 72 hours.
You can add your own special touches - decorations, flowers, signage as well as hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
With 3 weeks advance notice we can arrange for chairs, flowers and catering.
Turn your event into a talked about experience!
We are located in the famous River Arts District of Asheville, just minutes off the interstate. There is ample parking and we are on the 1st floor, which makes it easy for your guests and caterer to access our facility.
Pricing starts at $150 per hour with a two hour minimum. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due when the booking/reservation is made.
