APS MEMBERSHIPS
JOIN US & HELP BUILD OUR INKY COMMUNITY!
Our new large ground floor gallery and studio space has allowed us to launch the only Community Printmaking Studio in Asheville!
The new studio is a much healthier printmaking facility to work in versus a traditional shop. In every technique used, we aim to make it as green and safe as possible. We use soy based easy-to-clean-up inks, low VOC cleaners and filter our waste water before it goes into our local waterworks.
An APS MEMBERSHIP will provide you with a great place to create prints and a supportive and inspiring printmaking community!
Membership Includes:
Access to APS Studio Equipment - including Presses, Ink and Tools!
Create Prints ‘In Community’ at the APS Studio 4 Days a Month!
Additional Press Time at the Discounted Rate of just $10 Per Hour!
A place to Store Your Projects, personal Tools and Paper - in a large flat File Drawer!
Take part in APS Themed Exhibitions!
Sell your Finished Prints in our Print Bins! (30% commission)
Additionally:
‘Community Days’ will cycle around the monthly calendar. You will know your Studio Work Schedule two months in advance for planning purposes.
Additional Press Time must be scheduled and paid for in advance.
Membership Responsibilities:
Attend quarterly Community Meetings at APS. These community gatherings will cover event and exhibit plans, discussion of APS studio and gallery operations and will offer a forum for community concerns.
Volunteer 4 hours per month - help at the front desk or as determined in the studio.
Do you have special skills? Experience with computers, exhibition installation, marketing? We are a great place to share them!

MEMBER ~ $50 per month
TO BECOME AN APS MEMBER:
Take an APS class/workshop.
Meet with a member and share the story of your printmaking journey - beginners welcome!
Take a 1 hour Studio Tour and complete our Safety Training Session.
SUPPORTING MEMBER ~ $75 per month
Many of our new printmakers are emerging artists. In an effort to keep costs low for them, and with much appreciation to any member who can afford to pay more per month voluntarily, we will help support that aim. Supporting members receive all of the basic level membership perks plus the satisfaction in knowing that they are helping build a community and helping their fellow artists!
