FLOOD UPDATE ~
It is with the saddest of news that I write you. The entire River Arts District is a complete disaster zone. I really couldn’t believe my eyes. Buildings that were once there are no longer.Our beloved studio and gallery is a total and complete loss. There is a foot or more of mud at least.The contents swam around like fish in a bowl for at least 72 hours. Everything is encased in mud… My heart is aching and I am shaking as I write this.
The landlady has already organized clean up crews to shovel mud and debris but there is much that needs to be recovered and cleaned. Clean up efforts start tomorrow. It will take days and days. There is no electricity so we can only work for a while. It’s going to be a Herculean task…
